Ty Lapp founded Blu Ink, Ltd. in 2003 after designing and building his timberframe home in the San Juan mountains of Colorado. His home was inspired by the simple yet elegant barns which have been built for centuries by Amish craftsman. In addition to the design he also did most of the work himself, starting with forming/reinforcing the footings to pulling electrical cable for rough-in, ending with trim/finished cabinetry. With this hands-on experience and knowledge of home construction, he can offer additional insight into home design which you would not receive working with others. Blu Ink, Ltd. designs homes around Western United States, as far north as Alaska.
